A SPACE TO HEAL
What looks like "attitude"
may actually be distress.
Being a teenager is hard enough; when anxiety or OCD get layered on top, it can feel overwhelming for both teens and parents. Compassionate, evidence-based therapy that actually helps.
You may notice your teen pulling away, becoming more irritable, shutting down, or struggling with school, friendships, or motivation. As a parent, you may feel worried, frustrated, or unsure how to help. You want to support them, without increasing resistance or straining your relationship. Support is available, for your teen and for you.
"A guided journey toward healing, growth, and lasting transformation."
Adolescents navigating
real challenges.
I work with adolescents and teens experiencing emotional, behavioral, and anxiety-related challenges that interfere with daily life, school, relationships, and family functioning.
THE PROCESS
Therapy that's active,
collaborative & paced for teens.
01
Understand
Therapy begins with a thorough evaluation to clarify challenges and identify strengths. Together, we develop a treatment plan with clear goals and evidence-based recommendations. Teens and parents gain clarity about symptom patterns and how treatment works.
02
Practice Skills
Teens learn and practice skills during sessions in a real-world, supportive way gradually facing fears, building emotional regulation, reducing compulsions or avoidance, and responding differently to anxiety and intrusive thoughts.
03
Move Forward
Over time, anxiety and OCD no longer have the same control. Teens build confidence, flexibility, and resilience gaining a stronger sense of agency. As progress becomes visible, parents feel less consumed by worry and more confident in how to help.
FOR PARENTS
Involved, not in control.
While your teen is the primary client, you still play an important role in the therapy process. Parent involvement is thoughtful and collaborative designed to support progress while respecting your teen's growing independence.
Periodic parent check-ins or dedicated parent sessions
Guidance on responding to anxiety, avoidance, or emotional intensity
Support in reducing unhelpful accommodation or power struggles
Helping you stay regulated and grounded during difficult moments
When a Teen Refuses Therapy
Significant progress can still happen. Parent-led approaches such as SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) can reduce anxiety or OCD symptoms even when a teen is not directly involved in treatment. This can be recommended alongside or in some cases instead of individual teen therapy.
EVIDENCE-BASED TREATMENT
Research-supported approaches,
tailored for every teen.
Treatment is tailored to each teen’s needs, developmental level, goals, and readiness. I use evidence-based approaches while thoughtfully adapting the pace, language, and strategies to support neurodivergent and neurotypical teens, with attention to sensory needs, communication styles, nervous system regulation, and learning preferences
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Exposure and Response Prevention — for OCD and anxiety
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Prolonged Exposure for trauma
Support that meets them
where they're comfortable.
In addition to in-person sessions, I offer teen therapy through secure telehealth for clients located anywhere in California. For many teens, meeting from a familiar space — their own room, on their own device — can lower the pressure of walking into an office and make it easier to open up.
Online sessions fit more easily around school schedules, extracurriculars, and family logistics, without sacrificing the structure or effectiveness of treatment.
